Moving day…December 15. It was a several day affair transporting and finding homes for all the large printing equipment that rolled into Winneconne from the Envision Ink facility, but everyone kept their spirits high and made it happen. John Rogers and Pat Raath are now co-owners of the Rogers Printing Solutions/Envision Ink company. All employees at both facilities have retained their positions. – News photos

Merger Complete

for Rogers Printing Solutions – Envision Ink

It’s been more than a year in the works for the merger between two area printing companies – Rogers Printing Solutions and Envision Ink – but just before the holiday season hit, the final move took place and eight staff members along with a myriad of large printing equipment from the Appleton based Envision Ink made their move into the Rogers’ East Main Street facility here in Winneconne. Pat Raath, Envision Ink’s owner, will now co-own the Rogers/Envision Ink business with John Rogers.
“The whole idea behind this was to try to strengthen two, smaller printing companies by pooling our resources,” said Rogers of Rogers Publishing. “The merge was executed to give us greater longevity and the ability to render a wider variety of services to our customers.”

The Winneconne location was ultimately chosen due to its size advantages over the Envision Ink facility.

“We are a bigger, for certain, but we still want to be flexible and continue to act like a small company,” said Raath. “We want to make customers happy and keep them coming through our doors. We are looking forward to a great 2012.”

The joined companies, now employing 23 people, will offer the same array of printing services previously available, along with the ability to do large format printing such as billboards, banners and signage. “A good example of this is all the new signage we recently completed for the new Pub SmokeHouse,” said office manager Kathy Sasse. The bindery department now also offers spiral binding in any quantity.

All employees from both companies have retained their positions.

Finally, The Winneconne News will continue to function in its current capacity, with John Rogers retaining sole ownership.
