Sovereign State Industrial Park
The Village of Winneconne and the Winneconne Industrial Development Board have a long tradition of economic development activity in Northeast Wisconsin. Together they have planned carefully and well to provide for the community’s growth and welfare.
As a result, land in Sovereign State Industrial Park is ready to build, with all the necessary infrastructure in place. The Park is located within a tax increment finance district (TIF) and as such, features prime industrial sites at highly competitive prices. All lots include sanitary and storm sewers, water, gas and three-phase electrical. Added benefits include -- Winneconne Police and Fire located less than one mile away, offering 24 hour coverage for residents and businesses; a location that is central to both Oshkosh and the Fox Valley; and a thriving community school district that ranks among the best in state achievement testing.
Winneconne welcomes business expansion and industrial development within the village and within Sovereign State Industrial Park. It stands ready to assist your business in obtaining financial assistance to build or expand through programs such as:
- Business Development Loan Program -- encouraging commercial industrial development within the Village for the purpose of job creation and retention. Loan amounts are based on availability of local program funds. Eligible activities include the acquisition of land, construction of buildings, and improvements and acquisition of fixed equipment.
- Industrial Revenue Bonds -- through which the Village of Winneconne will support eligible projects through the issuance of tax exempt IRBs.
- Tax Incremental Financing -- to accommodate and support new industrial and commercial development projects.
- Various Other Programs -- the Village staff is happy to act as a facilitator with agencies such as the WI Department of Commerce, WI Housing and Economic Development Authority, WI Department of Transportation, and other agencies that could help with financial assistance.
