Mighty Wolf Triathalon

Races with Success

Saturday was a tough, yet fun day, for all 380 participants in the Mighty Wolf Triathalon. People of all ages from all around Wisconsin and Minnesota, Georgia and Michigan came to prove just how tough they are to bystanders.

Three courses were provided to participants; a long course for ages 14+ (400 yard swim, 15 mile bike ride, three mile run), a short course for ages 14+ (200 yard swim, 10 mile bike ride, 1.5 mile run, and a youth course for ages 13 and under (40 yard swim, 1.5 mile bike, .5 mile run).

Onlookers cheered and snapped shots of friends and family, as they watched each transition from one hard task to another.

Three locals placed within the top 30 for the youth course - Elisabeth Vollmer, Butte des Morts, 12th place; Grace Moss, Larsen, 23rd place and Daniel Flora, Winneconne, 30th. Jamie Malczewski took second overall in the long course and Alex Brasch, Winneconne, placed 23rd of the first 30 for the long course. In the short course, Kyle Brasch, Winneconne, placed 14th and Marc Salm, Winneconne, placed 26th of the first 30.
Everyone came home a winner though after successfully completing all three difficult tasks!
