What’s Hot, What’s Not

The Fishing Report

Contributed by “Critter” Chris Boucher
Owner of Critter's Wolf River Sports

With gusty winds and rainy conditions pretty much all week, it made fishing a little bit tougher, at least for the fishermen. There were good reports of walleyes in Lake Winneconne and Lake Poygan - trolling Salmo's Real Crappie and Rapala's Walleye Color seemed to be the best bite. Weed bite has been pretty consistent with light jigs and bobbers tipped with a leech.

The pan fish bite has remained outstanding with excellent catches of blue gills present in most of the channels around Winneconne using Custom Jigs Ratfinkee's tipped with a crawler. With next week’s weather forecast looking a lot more consistent, it’s a good time to get out fishing!

Good Luck Fishing,
Critter
