wonderland.

Winneconne is situated at the intersection of two famous rivers . . . the
Wolf and Fox Rivers and their connecting lakes and waterways.
It is surrounded by modern farms that contribute to the community economic

Recreation
There
is something for everyone four seasons of the year in Winneconne.
Winneconne becomes a bee hive of activity early in the spring during the
famous walleyed pike run in the Wolf River. People gather from all over
Wisconsin and many from outside the state for this annual event.
And just as the lilacs are a prelude to summer, so is the arrival of the
white bass fishing season.
In
the summer it's more fishing, combined with pleasure boating, houseboating,
water skiing, sailing, canoeing, swimming, sun bathing and every other conceivable
summer-related sport including softball, golf, camping, picnicing, tennis,
and hiking.
But what about fall . . . how about duck hunting, pheasant hunting, football,
hiking, hickory nutting, deer hunting, to say nothing of more fishing.
And then there is winter . . . and time for snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross
country skiing, curling, and even down hill skiing less than an hour's drive
away.
Schools
Winneconne is proud of its school system offering the finest in educational
opportunities in modern school facilities.
Winneconne founded one of the first consolidated school districts in the
United States and has continued to lead in providing the best progressive
education for their young people.
Parks
Winneconne has one of the finest man-made lakes in the state
of Wisconsin with a fine sand beach for swimming and sun bathing enjoyment

Winneconne Waterfront Park
Winneconne’s Waterfront Park offers something for everyone. Enjoy live music
and a full calendar of events at Winneconne’s newest park located on First
Street on the beautiful Wolf River. 22 Boat slips open to transient boater
and rest room facilities. Dock and walk to our many Main Street businesses
– shop or enjoy a meal.
Fisherman – enjoy the new fishing deck on the south side of the Winneconne
Bridge spanning the Wolf River.
Churches and Social Activities
There are many churches in the Winneconne area to serve the spiritual
needs of the people.
Winneconne offers a wide variety of social and community-service organizations
